Sinmerma is a Mac app by PLEYX S.A.S (Colombia). This page explains what data it uses and what data it doesn’t. If you have any questions, email us at soporte@sinmerma.com.

Your photos, videos and chats

Sinmerma doesn’t upload your files to any server. Your files go from your Mac to WhatsApp, just as if you attached them yourself.

To click WhatsApp’s buttons for you, Sinmerma uses the macOS Accessibility permission. It doesn’t store or send the content of your chats.

What is stored on your Mac

• Your preferences, such as showing the overlay when dragging or opening at login.
• The date your trial started, how many free sends you have used, and your license, in the macOS Keychain.
• A technical log at ~/Library/Logs/Sinmerma.log, which only leaves your Mac if you send it to us.

What is sent over the internet

• License. When you activate your license, and once a day after that (at least once every 30 days), Sinmerma sends your license key and the name of your Mac to Lemon Squeezy. This is how it checks that the license is valid and lets you see which Macs it is activated on.
• Updates. Sinmerma checks sinmerma.com for a new version. That check only says which version of Sinmerma and of macOS you use.

Sinmerma doesn’t use third-party analytics tools or advertising. What follows is only sent if you choose it.

Your email, if you give it to us (optional)

During the trial, you can leave us your email address so that we can let you know before your free sends run out. For that, Sinmerma tells us when you have 5 left and when they run out, and nothing else about your usage. We send you a link to confirm that the address is yours; until you click it, we don’t send you anything else.

We only send you news, offers and tips if you check the Send me news and tips box and confirm your email. You can unsubscribe from any email, or turn it off in Sinmerma’s license window.

Usage data (optional)

If you turn on Share usage data, Sinmerma sends a few totals at most once a day: how many sends you made through Document and through Media, how many failed and the last type of error, how many days you used it, and the versions of Sinmerma and macOS. They are linked to your email or your license, and to an identifier for your Mac, so we can help you if something goes wrong and improve Sinmerma.

Your photos, their names, your contacts and your chats are never sent. It is off by default, and you can turn it off whenever you want in the license window.

Where it is stored

Your email, your choices and, if you share it, your usage data are stored in Fluuxy, our own customer and email platform, which runs on Vercel and Google Firebase. Emails are sent through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), and the support mailbox is hosted by Hostinger. These providers only process the data to provide that service to us. We don’t sell or transfer your data to anyone else.

Your purchase

Payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller to you. Lemon Squeezy receives your name, your email and your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, your email and the order details (number, amount and discount). We store them in Fluuxy to give you support, manage your license and send you the emails about your purchase; news, only if you ask for it.

This website

sinmerma.com doesn’t use cookies or analytics. Like any web server, the one run by our hosting provider, Vercel, logs technical data about each visit, such as the IP address.

We count downloads: when you click Download, we store the country (inferred from the IP address, which we don’t store), the browser language, whether you are on a Mac, a phone or another device, the page and where you came from (for example, Instagram). None of this identifies you. To remember where you came from while you browse, the website stores it in your browser only for the duration of the visit.

Your rights

We keep your data while you have a relationship with Sinmerma or until you ask us to delete it.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, and to withdraw your consent, under Colombia’s Law 1581 of 2012 and the laws of your country. Email us at soporte@sinmerma.com and we will reply within 15 business days at most.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its date. If the change is significant, we will also let you know.
